If he likes collecting, any of the cards mentioned by previous people would do. god cards are usually fake, and exodia pieces are pretty much useless for most players. If he plays yugioh, get him a structure deck. For a kid's birthday, just get a booster pack or something like that. But only certain versions of those cards are actually worth a lot. Reply:The rarest? well, there are some collector cards that cost thousands, like Des Volstgalph. I believe these are the rarest but I could be wrong. Reply:The rarest of the cards is one of these: any of the three god cards, or Exzoda (sp).

If you buy all of these cards I've listed they'll be really expensive. but some of the rarest cards are the five exodia pieces in the game.the three egyptian god cards.slifer, obelisk and ra.go to bbtoystore, and search google but do not use ebay,i tried to and i get ripped off Reply:DO NOT GO TO EBAY!!!!!! YOU WILL GET SCREWED. But if you still wish to do that just ask him about it passively. You will find that he will enjoy playing with you more than if you get him a good card. If he is a player, than i would suggest you ask him what he would like, but if you want to surprise him, try to get interested in the game, and learn about it. If he is just a Collector, than i would suggest any of the older cards, you can check at your local card shop, or online store, and they could help you with rarity.

Its nice you wish to do this for your son, however, since we do not know your son, it would be rather hard for us to know which card he is interested in. I'm clueless so could someone please tell me which cards are the most sought after as I'd like to really surprise him. My son's birthday is coming up in a couple of months and he's into yu-gi-oh.
